EXTRACT FROM THE SOCIETY'S CONSTITUTION.

The aims and objects of the Society shall be:- (1) To protect children and young persons by prevent- ing, removing or mitigating any wrongs or injustices done

to them; to safeguard their morals; to prevent any act which causes or is likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to their health; and generally to protect the interests

of children.

(2) To take all necessary steps for the enforcement of any existing law for their protection or in their interests, and to advocate and promote any amendment of any law which may be considered desirable for their protection or in

their interests.

(3) To take such steps by personal, written or printed statement, public meetings, or otherwise as may be deemed expedient for the purpose of educating the public generally in the interests of the welfare of the young.

(4) To provide and maintain an organization for the above objects.

(5) To do all other such lawful things as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of the above objects.
